I know he can be a bit of an idiot but should Ballotelli really have been booked for complaining to the ref about receiving racial abuse?
I hear a lot from ex players "you are never, ever fully fit. You always have a problem or strain, or ache somewhere, at all times. Some players block that out and do their job, some players say they can't play because they are injured." I'd say Sturridge is pretty injury prone, but I think also, what the ex players describe is probably him too. Any niggle, and he's "injured and has to come off". It's really sad, because he has so much talent. I think his head and heart are not in the right place, and if they were, he'd be starting every game for a top 4 team and England striker along with Harry. His pace, confidence and finishing when he has a long run of games. Class. He has great natural talent. I really think he's happy to pick up a wage the past 5+ years.
Urgh. Picked the wrong game. Thought the Spurs game sounded really exciting. 2-0 down after 8 minutes. Meanwhile. Man City are 2-0 up
Sounds like, ATM, they can't find any footage to prove he was. He was abused last season and it was proved. So far, they can't find any footage of him being abused.
I see Cardiff are winning 2-0 and Derby are losing 1-0, but then our fans don't probably give a 'hoot'. <getscoatemoji>
I don't care who goes up or down. We are midtable fodder. Doesn't effect our club. Next season, I might be more interested in the relegation pack. but atm. we have Maddison.
Pretty accurate assessment FML and methinks Wolves are almost certainly champions (after finishing 9th last season) and it's amazing what can be achieved with wealthy backers and flouting FFP rules!!!!
Given I live and work in the vacinity of Derby and have a number of Derby supporting friends, I would very much like to see them bottle it once again. They seem to be wobbling a bit too with their last 5: DDWDL, not the form of autopromotion! Oh for some FFP flouting, wealthy backers! Bah!
F.C. Porto have an Oliveira playing for them. I have my blue and white (as opposed to lurid pink) scarf on as a result
It seems to me that the bidding war is slowing down for these TV rights. It's obviously still a huge amount of money but the last contract I seem to remember was for around 5.5bn. I realise there's still some matches to be sold but they are a relatively small number of midweek games so it could be the overall total is much the same as 3 years ago. Taking into account inflation, it could even be a backward move. I assumed that the figure would be even higher this time around with Amazon / Facebook and other online services weighing in with big budgets too but it hasn't appeared. Could it be they are waiting for the international rights to be offered which in the whole scheme of things offers more eyeballs than the domestic UK fans? At any rate if TV revenue is plateauing, hopefully we'll see an end to the ever-increasing payer prices / salaries. #obscene
