I see the PinkUn is asking if CJ will be top scorer for the 3rd time this season!!! I guess they'll keep asking until we get fed up of answering!!!!
Just watched MotD and Citeh look awesome - last 3 games 15 goals for and 0 against. Great hat trick from Aguero.
So on to Brentford away in the League Cup. Certainly winnable, but how strong a team do you think Farke will put out? I can't see him sending the same team that beat Sheffield Utd away so I am going to speculate: McGovern, Husband, Pinto, Hanley, Klose, Watkins, Naismith, Wildshut, Reed, Trybull, CJ. I think with Naismith it will be 'let's see what you can do' and if nothing positive happens then he may well be in the last chance saloon in terms of playing in 1st team squad. All that promise when he came from Everton but very little evidence of a player committed to the cause. The German, Swiss, Dutch and Portuguese players seem to be pulling their weight. Impressed with Wildshut interview after Sheffield Utd game.
I'd fully expect Tettey to be rested, which is a good opportunity to try a Reed-Trybull partnership. I'd hope that would help with ball retention and buildup play. Beyond that, probably a chance for Wes and Hanley? I'd expect Farke to freshen up the side a little, whilst keeping as much continuity as possible with the players who have done well of late, but with half an eye on Bristol next weekend.
Thoroughly enjoyed the game and we were unlucky not to snatch a win at the end Abrahams had a great chance to score, but lost his footing.
That United game. 1-0 at about 80 mins or so I think? Went from "Everton could take this game" to 4-0 in about 5-10 minutes. Pretty impressive again from United. They love a late flurry!
Yes, Martin did OK, but wasn't outstanding. I liked the look of Aarons (LB) Odusina (CB alongside Mar, tin); Abrahams and Fonkeu both played well and the former took his goal well. That's twice I've seen Abrahams and I've been impressed both times.
