One of my friends' husband is a massive Stoke fan and often joins us when we go out for a beer - should be going out in a couple of weeks. Methinks we won't be discussing football.
Goals for 3 - goals against 13!!!

Edit - if things don't improve for Stoke, I can see Butland wanting to move in January.

Interesting comment on an article on MFW by an NCFC fan - "There are at least 28 clubs in the top two divisions with very rich owners. They can’t all win things and they can’t all be in the PL all the time. Most of them don’t care if the team wins or loses, they just want the ego boost of owning a club.
Watford is even worse – they just run a system to make money.
I drive 250 miles every fortnight because I genuinely feel connected to the team I support. When I see Norwich shirts on the street my heart is lifted. When we win it makes my weekend. When we lose it destroys it – until Monday morning when we start talking about the next game.
Clubs should be owned by people who support the club because nothing else matters. I don’t know Delia or Michael but they have been very important people in my life because they were in a position to save my club and chose to do so. The vitriol they now get from teenagers and new supporters who expect us to do a Leicester (owned by billionaire absentees don’t forget) is ludicrous, but a sign of our times."

Rangers have suspended Joey Barton for three weeks following a training-ground dispute with team-mate Andy Halliday.
The midfielder was sent home last Tuesday and returned to Ibrox for a meeting on Monday morning.
A statement from the club said: "The manager, Mark Warburton, and club believe that time and space is required for both the club and the player to assess all that has happened.
"Neither party will make any further statement or comment on this issue."

Lol, we'll see about that. I don't follow Barton on twitter or anything but if he's got something to say, wild horses wouldn't stop him!

There were suggestions last night that he had played his last game for Rangers!

We shall see!
