Can we go a qualifying campaign without being draw against two of the teams we've played in the previous qualification campaign?

But Scudamore suggested England could still compete at major tournaments with a side comprised of players from the bottom half of the top-flight and top half of the Championship.

"We get hung up about how players can't possibly be good enough unless they're playing for Chelsea or Manchester United," he said.

"Of course they can be good enough. How are they going to get into the first teams of Chelsea and Manchester City? Widen your horizons.

"Why shouldn't the England team come from the top 12 teams in the Championship and the bottom 10 teams of the Premier League?"

    ---

OMG Richard Scudamore talking sense, it's the end of the world as we know it!

Adding to the strike force. Welcome @ConorSammon_18 & @billysharp10 who are pictured today with @martynwoolford#unitedtogether

Twitter is no excuse for poor grammar. Obviously sometimes you have to use u and bcuz and b4 sometimes due to the character limit, and I die a little inside when I do.

Ah fair enough, I thought you were having a dig at my grammar :)
And yes they could have written it better.

I agree, but why have you singled this out for an attack? I can't see anything particularly appalling about that, given that most of it consists of Twitter names and a hashtag. The first sentence has no subject, true, but could be seen as a heading.

Not particularly reason why I've singled out that particular Tweet, I was just browsing the thread and saw it. It's not because of his connection to Southampton if that's what you're thinking...

And tbf, the first sentence is fine, the second sentence is where it falls down

I actually think group D looks the most interesting. I think Wales, R.O.I, Austria and Serbia will all fancy their chances.

I think we all have a limit on things which annoy us. We unaccountably let things go and then something that isn't quite so bad takes us over the edge. Perhaps PL had a dose of that.?
My lack of home internet access is keeping me in a state of a kettle about to boil.! The smileys are pretty few and far between at the moment.
