    The League Cup 1st round draw was made yesterday and it made me think. Do we enter the League Cup in the 3rd round now or is it dependant on whether we make the EL group stage?

    Yeah we go in 3rd round, was made this morning. Skates got Derby at home, so doubt we'll draw them in the League Cup this year :(

    He had 16 months in charge of Accrington Stanley, that's his only experience so far.

    His time wss considered well spent. I think he earned his spurs during that stint. He also bailed them out a couple of times, bill paying wise, with his own private money.

    As admirable as that was, it doesn't add to his ability as a coach. I can't recall any great shakes in his 18 month spell, so unless there was something I hadn't heard about or missed, I don't really see that as earning his spurs.

    Fara Williams was the kind of player wasted by Powell. Good cushion for England now, even if the penalty and hand ball was dubious.

    Do you think that it would be good to reduce everything in the women's game by, for example 25 % e.g. the pitch, the goal etc. Sometimes I get the feeling that this would be more in proportion with the goalkeeper size and sometimes the pitch looks too big.

    Truly awful second half from England; completely disjointed.
