I think every older and curious neutral football supporter is looking forward to it, FLT. The guy was from a time when the maverick footballer had emerged from the 1960's, but the difference with him was that he remained hidden because he only played in the lower leagues. These days he wouldn't exist even though the coverage of the lower leagues would mean that he wouldn't remain hidden if he did.

 

My wrongness about goal line technology is confirmed again. It's obviously better than humans.

Since goal line technology has come to the PL there hasn't been a single moment of indecision or argument as regards the shots/goals it decides upon. Just more football, which is how it should be.

 

I was before it was brought in, thought it was an expensive luxury that we didn't need. I am permanently ashamed.

 

In your professional field I would have thought you would have an inbuilt faith in technology.

 

Hawk Eye live in Winchester and came to some of our recruiting fairs so we could stock up our collection of pens. It's far better than the German version, elegantly simple, cheap and once installed easy to use...which of course explains why FIFA picked the Germans.
