That bastard Stephen Hepburn was voted in again at Jarrow. It's an absolute joke. You could stick a red ribbon on a donkey around there and it would get voted in.

Conservatives have picked up all over the UK. Parties need to be more centre these days, Labour have gone way left and working class people just can't and haven't connected with them.

Tories have gone way to the right and are sticking it right up the least well offs arses..

Conservatives have picked up all over the UK. Parties need to be more centre these days, Labour have gone way left and working class people just can't and haven't connected with them.

Same in Durham, staunchly Labour but the Independents are chipping away.

I have always voted Labour having been born & brought up in a pit village in County Durham - that's what you do.
it pains me to say that I will not be voting Labour for the first time in my life next month. I just can't vote for Jezza.

Not that it will make much difference - as the local Conservatives already have a 56% majority.

I'm not gonna lie, there's a fair chunk of it that I'd like to see happen but at the same time, let's be honest, in 5 years we'd all be sat here saying "But the manifesto said...".

Brexit will dominate the boxes the voter ticks in this general election, and I think every man and his dog knows that Corbyn simply will not bring home any good deals.

I'm still firmly of the opinion that this snap election has been a masterstroke by the PM and I pray (figuratively speaking) for the Labour voter that Corbyn steps down or commits suicide after defeat.

I have just read everthing Labour are going to do in the next parliament if they are elected and its all costed and I thought if its that easy why is no other f ucker doing it then the dozy useless w ankers hate them as much as Moyes the useless Scoth c unt.

The worst thing any democracy could have is an incompetent or out of touch opposition. It breeds arrogance and complacency in the governing party.

The Tories should know that all too well.

They'll walk this one but if they learn the lessons of recent history, they wont want Corbyn there next time either.

Sheer insanity having strategic industries in the hands of non-UK business.

That goes for the likes of TaTa Steel as well.

The problem is getting UK businesses willing to take them on and having too much faith in the powers of the market.

As far as rail is concerned, I commuted for 25 years into Kings X.

The improvement in the services was massive in spite of what might be said otherwise.

I might lose 10 to 15 days a year getting into work because of the trains 20 years ago. Maybe 3 or 4 these days with the wrong type of snow

I'm not against nationalisation. I'm just against powerful unions ripping apart **** management.

You can nationalise them tomorrow for me. But let management run them, not the unions. And if the management **** up, get new management in.
