Not a lawyer then JWM? All he is "proving" is that some houses in Cambridge sell for over two million. What it doesn't prove is why when Chelsea has been the fastest rising house price area in the UK with an increase of 180 times your relation has achieved 280 times - if indeed he exists - which I very much doubt. I have had lots of working class Tory customers and have noticed the tendency for them to exaggerate their achievements, this fits the pattern, wealth fantasies to ease their inferiority complexes.
You can believe what you like mate it's no skin of my nose. Just watching you boys fighting to prove or disprove what I'm saying has been really good entertainment on a drab afternoon! Its taken you most of the afternoon to dig into all this and you still can't prove me wrong! Sorry for derailing your thread btw!
Its good enough for me to know you are sitting there knowing you are a liar.If you had only said £17,200 you would have got away with it.You just had to over egg the pudding.
Great stuff Cruyffy - really enjoyed watching JWM squirm I notice he's not arguing with you too much either about the legitimacy of his claims, guess that can mean only one thing....
It's been all mine JWM.Next time pick on someone with your own intellectual ability.Multi millionaires? I eat 'em for breakfast, preferably after a couple of working class Tories.
Suffer the fat bastards SN,for they are always with us. I went into a chip shop in Sutton Bridge the other week and this party waddled in and shouted to the gaffer "Do us a Mars Bar". He took one out, battered it,and dropped it in the fat.
I am 5'9" and 90 KG but i prefer the term stocky . Never tried a deep fried mars but as long as the oil was clean i'm sure it would be quite nice. Like a fritter.
I think the killer is your figures JWM. £7200 to £2million just doesn't stack up for any property in Britain over the period. It is possible of course you just got it wrong but even in central Cambridge that amount buys a pretty spectacular house in the very best location. Property in Britain was quite stable until inflation got going in the 70's.Then there were serious step up periods when houses more or less doubled in price in the space of a couple of years. In the mid sixties new semis were generally about £2500 with older substantial properties around £15-20k. Having said all that your general demeanour and the fact that you are a working class Tory leads me to the conclusion that you just thought you would try it on and it's all BS.
