I thought there was a name for it, so do you reckon a week of that then a week of the regular routine would be of much benefit?

What's hypertrophy, is it getting more defined as opposed to getting bigger?

Hypertrophy is the state your muscle tissue needs to be in to grow. It's relatively pointless going into any further detail than that.

Strength training, low rep ranges but lifting heavy as possible, will increase strength but not size.

Both are very effective methods of fat burning as a side note. If done to the right intensity, that's the most important thing or you just end up a hard gainer.

As for benefit, work in cycles of 4-6 weeks of one particular type of training I'd say, either strength or hypertrophy... Because you are training your muscles you're not abusing them, training involves routine, and memory, chopping and changing really doesn't have many benefits to the best of my knowledge, although I'm not an expert.

If you need any refined help, with a programme and you're not getting gains, I'll be more than happy to look at your routine mate and see where it could be improved just send me a PM <ok>

Nice one, if I end up taking it up a notch or two I'll give you a shout, you certainly seem to know your stuff. I'm pretty clueless about a lot of it, I just lift the heaviest weights I can as often as I can and stay stocked up on protein but there's a lot more worth knowing.

Cheers!

I've often thought about invading a new forum, maybe a few of us, nowt to do with Football, but we'd have to play the long game, integrate and start to gain trust, cos otherwise we'd just get instant bans.

Islamic State fighters have abducted around 900 Kurds in Aleppo over the past three weeks, according to a Kurdish official and Syrian activists.

The northern province of Syria has seen fierce fighting since 31 May, when Syrian government forces launched a campaign to re-capture nearby Manbij from IS.

The Syrian troops have captured dozens of villages and farms near the town and now have Manbij surrounded.

Eighty-one Syrian government fighters and 463 extremists are reported to have been killed in the fighting.

Not that i give a ****. But.

The yanks reaffirming that we will be at the back of the queue when it comes to doing trade deals with them. Does it not piss anybody else off that they call us their cousins and that they expect us to always back them up with our military, but we had to fight the battle of Britain without them and now we are at the back of the queue with them for doing trade deals.

I think it's about time we jumped into bed with Putin and ****ed the yanks off. Sick of being their lap dog.
