Nee idea mate.
Stopped at Jerry's last night.
Rough as a butchers dog.
Yesterday we were in the Cambridge which smelled of wet dogs, the Howard Arms, the Avenue, first time in there, cracking pub & then up to the sea front.
Pissed as a nuns ****.

The Cambridge. ****ing hell. Many a year since i was in there.

Had some good nights in the Howards arms.

Yes, we all have dreams and this young lady was no exception. her dream however was to climb Mount Everest and here she is training in the hills near her home in Australia.
She failed in 2014 owing to an avalanche that killed about 30 Sherpa's I believe and her attempt was abandoned.
She returned in 2015 but a devastating earthquake killing more than 3,000 people put paid to that attempt.
But she finally made it a couple of days ago and became the youngest Australian Woman to reach the top.
her name is Alyysa Azar and she is just 19 years of age.

For those of you who were interested in this young ladies achievement there was tragedy for another Australian, a 34 year old Female Lecturer who lost her life after climbing the mountain during the week. She sadly died of altitude sickness (see story) :

commachio, I noticed one North East team down and one up, I also saw the teasing message in the air so I wondered if Sunderland saw Middlesborough in the same light as you saw Newcastle, that's all.

Like its been said. They mean zero to most of us. There are some on here who dislike them a lot. But football wise, they see us as a derby, whereas most of us see them as just a small club down in yorkshire. Of zero signifigance to us.

Can someone look on the daily mail site. There is an article about the fa going to give liverpool the fa cup for something to do with hillsborough.

I cant get on the mail site. Its blocked here.

Some of you might remember Middlesborough under Jackie Charlton with men like John Craggs, Alan Foggon, Spraggon, McAndrew, Boam and others, quite a force to be reckoned back then.

Nope. 73 till 77. Far to young. But i was curious and went for a read.

He never actually signed a contact and worked on a gentlemens agreement. Took a small salary. Also had 3 days of a week for fishing and shooting.

I found it interesting.

I can remember some of those names. A decent team.

iirc Charlton was moaning about the lack of support even then.

Was it Bryan Robson took over from him?

Juninho, Ravanelli and Emerson. That was a good team you had then...
