It's picky, and maybe it's because of how much I'm against religion, I don't think there's any need though to put their religion in the company name. It seems to be a 'look at us'. When it comes to giving somebody a home, just do it. Rightly or wrongly, I think it could potentially put non Muslims from approaching them as the name might suggest or imply that it is only housing Muslim people.Pretty indifferent to be honest fella. Unless I'm missing something.

I'd like to know the split on Muslims and non Muslims that are occupying the properties that they have.
Same would go for any other religion that might do this.
I've just had a read about them. Firstly it says, non profit, but how can owning 800 properties be non profit?
They have all the rent paying off the mortgages and could sell them at any time. That seems profitable, to me.
I'd assumed they would have been for anybody. Still wouldn't mind knowing the split percentage of who is occupying the properties. No problem with it, even if they only choose Muslims. There's Housing associations only accepting people on sex, age, sexuality and health, particular circumstances or lifestyles so why not religion? My only gripe would be if they were all taking more than their fair share of Government funding over the the bog standard Housing Associations.
Just looked at their website and the houses are for anybody. It's community orientated. So yeah, my only gripe would be if they're taking more then their fair share of funding. But that would stand against any association getting preferential treatment.

I don't believe any group of people should be prioritised for housing, just because of their religion, sex, or whatever else. Stop creating divisions.

I do have a problem if houses are being allocated on religious grounds.. I think it is all wrong and will only serve to increase community separation which is already creating massive social issues.

I know this wasn't asked of me, but I would have a problem with that. Are you going to tell the housing associations for gay people that they can't do that either RAW?
Its only natural for like-minded people to want to live together. Look at all of the brit expats in their little communes on the Costa Brava, or Fuertaventura. Or in Saudi or Kuwait.
The old saying, birds of a feather flock together holds for examples like this as well.

Everybody should be mixed together regardless of sexual orientation, religion, gender or whatever else. It's the only way for society to progress. Integration not self segregation.
Otherwise that causes divide.
Then if we excuse that and accept that for what it is. We kind of then have to accept racists, as the bottom line is they want to be amongst their own. That's what they shout.I totally agree in principle. 100%
But human nature gets in the way. People want to be amongst their own.
Just check out the communities in New York. Pretty stark in their boundary lines.
I wish it could be your way though.
Damned right I would.. Could you imagine the uproar if there was a White Christian heterosexual housing association formed? Housing should not be allocated on religion. sexual orientation or colour. You mentioned the separate communities in the USA, and they actually cause many social issues including gang related ones. We will head down the same road if we follow their lead. Are you going to tell the housing associations for gay people that they can't do that either RAW?
