well the grim reaper is in our place now discussing redundancies again.
amazing how the powers that be think they are being clever by doing this all on the quiet when everyone on the shop floor knows who she is.
i reckon there will be only a couple this time and am hoping that i am one of them, cnuts aren't taking voluntary though.

My department comes under the hammer at the end of this month. I haven't got a clue what they have in store for us, but if other departments within our organisation are anything to go by, there will be job losses and changes.
usual redundancy stuff, if there is a certain number of redundancies they have to go through a procedure but fukced if i know exactly what it is.
if there are just a couple then its a straight forward cull, i think that's what's going to happen here, probably 2 or 3 from the offices and stores.
Worst thing though is hanging on and waiting to see if your number is up, i know mine is as i have already done my maths and know that the other 2 lads in engineering are safe as the supervisor has been bigging them up lol.
Just want out of here now as its not a nice place to be but am not giving the ****er of an owner the satisfaction of me handing my notice in.
Got 12 or 13 years worth of redundancy coming and a job to go into in April in the pipeline.
I'm no employment lawyer but I think you're better off being made compulsorily redundant rather than voluntary. Something to do with employment benefits and insurance t's and c's.
Don't quit. Make them push you out.
