Well…
The barber’s shop pays rent to a landlord, who then pays taxes to the government.
The barber’s shop pays Business Rates to the government.
The barber’s shop pays utility bills, the utilities companies make profits and pay taxes to the government.
The barber’s shop pays ‘employees’ and they pay taxes to the government from their wages.
So the reason the government doesn’t stop the drug barons laundering their money is because the government probably earns more from the money laundering than the drug barons do.

Unfortunately there are too many people in this country with "we are entitled" stickers stuck all over them. I think one way to stop the entitlement is to give vouchers for food and heating. Alcohol and cigarettes are a luxury arent they?
