Some valid points - although Corus did not originally own Port Talbot: following Nationalisation in 1967, ‘The Abbey’ was part of the British Steel Corporation, which in turn on Privatisation became British Steel PLC.

British Steel merged with (basically took over) Hoogovens, with the merged company named Corus.

Tata outbid CSN of Brazil to become the owners of Corus.

It strikes me that Tata’s strategy was to buy Corus but didn’t have a strategy for running its ‘new’ asset.

The ending of ‘proper’ steel making, in my opinion, demonstrates the abject ownership by Tata of Port Talbot.<ok>

UK has been steadily building it's own funeral pyer for to long now it'll be set alight soon if immigration isn't reversed at speed especially those that cause the most harm and drain on uk !
