Anyone remember the dross the Labour Party would have inflicted on us had Corbyn been a winner ?

Dianne Abbott, who covered up her son's attacks on NHS staff, and police officers. Shame on the police for allowing that to happen, but she was the Shadow Home Secretary, so they were covering their asses, just in case she became the boss.

Dawn " do you know who I am am " Butler. She accused the police of racism because they had the gall to stop her when she was speeding.

David Lammy. As big a racist as ever walked the planet. Hates white people, as do Abbott and Butler, yet managed to force himself to marry a rich white woman.

Then we have Rayner. Jeez, it never Rayner's, it pours. <whistle>

There's more, but I'm feeling nauseous.

So, on the one hand we have a Labour Party packed with people chosen for reasons other than their ability.
A Party determined to overturn a democratic vote to leave the EU.
No wonder they lost the election so heavily.

On the other hand we have the incumbent alternatives.

Talk about ' Hobson's Choice '. ( Terrific film of the same name, with John Mills, Charles Laughton, and Brenda de Banzie ).

This 2 Party domination has to stop, it's allowing the wrong people to dictate and control us.

But who will change it ?

A system of PR would lead most likely to coalition governments, with the Lib Dems and SNP holding the balance of power into infinity.

Yes - that could happen in any event under the present system next time around, but at least the first past the post system would allow the possibility of a change 5 years later: more difficult under PR.

Governments with huge majorities lead to dictatorships, and I lived under those in Africa.
Coalitions may be a preferable choice.

Sam Northeast, seen by many as one of the best English players never to taste international cricket, notched the first double century of his career and converted it to only the second triple hundred in Glamorgan history as his side closed day three of their LV= Insurance County Championship match on 563 for 5 in reply to Leicestershire's 584.

The 32-year-old eclipsed his previous best of 191 for Kent against Derbyshire in 2016, finishing on 308 not out - just one short of matching Steve James' 309 not out against Sussex at Colwyn Bay in 2000 as the highest first-class score by a Glamorgan player.

I cannot believe that she is one of the two people left in the race to lead the Tory party. How **** must the others have been ?

Weren't we saying this about the 2016 US election? Look how that turned out. Unfortunately, we have reached the bottom of the barrel in politics and a lot of things in life in general these days.

I'm in shock. I decided not to watch the Leicestershire second innings, assuming a bore fest on a near perfect pitch.

I've just discovered Glam won by an innings.

Don't I feel like a ......... <doh>
I must admit I watched the Swans and the Glammy game. What a great day's cricket

I watched every ball of the pre lunch run fest. It was such a joy.
However,..... <laugh>, missed the rest.

Arguably Glam's greatest ever Championship win/performance. Something to savour in my old age.
They should produce a highlights video. I'd buy at least two copies.

Down the years Glam have been put to the sword, humiliated, even, but we still love them.

I know how Leicestershire followers are feeling. They are in a bad place. Been there, have all the scars.
