Having read the summary of today's proceedings I can't see any way that the jury can return a guilty verdict.
It certainly looks that way .....

Assuming that Kev is found not guilty, I wonder if the Swans will ‘take him back’?

If we get to Wembley, will he be on the pitch again before the match?

The problem with these types of cases is that even if found not guilty, the seed has been planted and doubts will remain - unless it's so overwhelmingly and obviously a bullshit story. It's such an awful situation.
If he’s found innocent then that’s good enough for me, as taken from the summing up , no one else has ever indicated before or during the trial that he’s been accused of similar crimes . He officiated a number of family funerals so maybe I’m biased but I think he’s innocent

Based on what I’ve read, I’m surprised that the CPS decided that there were sufficient grounds to prosecute.

I’ve met Kev on numerous occasions and we often stop and have a chat.

So, like Matt I’m somewhat biased - I hope he’s innocent. <cheers>
I hope he's innocent too really.
However that would mean that 3 people have got together to try to destroy his life for some reason. That would also make me sad if it turns out to be true.

Incredible:

But Mr Roberts (Defence Barrister) said the ‘victim’ had got the wrong person, and showed him a photograph of Mr Johns with a full beard in 1981.

"You say that Kevin Johns had some stubble, as if he hadn't shaved? Kevin Johns had a full beard in 1981 - how did you miss that?"," he said.

"Isn't the reality that you've got the wrong person in this case?"

You have to ask yourself if they had some motive for bringing this case! How the CPS took it forward I do not know. A complete waste of time, money but most importantly potentially ruining someone's life.
