@daimungeezer did you go to the Crabtree?

We used to go there at lunchtime sometimes when we were in the office and not at home as it was a 2 minute drive.Haven't been in there for years Glam. We go to the one in Sandridge (King William). For some reason the Mrs doesn't fancy the Crabtree even though we live literally round the corner. Wife's decision is final![]()

You old bastard!!Blast from the past. ...... how many of you rookies have heard or remember any names from long past.
These few played for the Swans, I did not see them all play, but heard their names my elders then.
PARRY. ... Goalkeeper, also played for Wales. O ' DRISCOLL. From Ireland, and I think there was a KEAN fro Ireland, ..... WESTON, ..... think he was a centre half. ..... BURNS, ... I think his name was Frankie.
BILLY LUCAS, ... I think he captained the team at one time. Then we had DARVEL WILLIAMS from Gorseinon.
He was called DAVOO. ...... and we had a guy called SCRINE. .......... and there was a player that went out to play for BAGOTA in South America, ... can't remember his name. ....... So come on , out with the old books and. and your old programmes, see what you can find.
And don't dare call me an old Bastard, ....... or else.k

We used to have a quite successful Football Combination league in this country but the creation of the PL who eventually introduced the EPPL closed the door on opportunities for smaller Clubs to develop their players by introducing them to the "Mans" game instead of playing against the same age (or less) groups . Also making it less cost effective to maintain their Academies hence why a few clubs closed theirs . One of a few problems we as a Club will have by dropping out of Cat 1 status is that we'll be left to pick up kids from the local area rather than having an attractive set up such as we had.
