By the time he left in 2004 Lord Kinnock was earning £163,453 a year alongside a housing allowance and an entertainment budget. He received a payment of nearly £273,000 on leaving office. He has an EU pension thought to be worth more than £60,000 per year alongside the pension he receives for more than 25 years’

Electric scooters.

Should they be allowed on the roads?

It's a toughie... I'd rather some of the, erm, "older drivers" were driving these rather than cars <laugh> On consideration they should probably stick to the pavement where possible but allowed on the road where necessary.

They are similar to those Sinclair C5 things but a bit taller. Weren't the C5's banned from the roads as they only had a little flag sticking up to stop lorries crushing em ? There's enough road deaths and road rage out there without adding to the figures ?
So No.

I've just had a cracking idea - ban all cars and instead everyone get a scooter, problem solved. Plus we've cracked the pollution issue at the same time. I'll take the Nobel Prize but no thanks to the knighthood.
