I was watching that one this morning. Why didn’t he shoot him earlier.
Earlier than when he was walking down the drive ?
As soon as he made that lung at the fella, why didn’t he shoot him. He said he had a knife so he was luck he never slit his throat.
Not clear if he still had the knife after he was first shot but he made his intentions clear , like I said before shooting someone to try to wound is not a good idea when you could be on the receiving end of a knife or a gun attack
Firing a short barrel weapon even at those sorts of ranges you can still miss, taking into account adrenaline , stress, a moving target albeit in small increments, the weapon recoil, they can all make a difference . Just like life its all fine margins I suppose.
But John Wick would have put him down with one to the chest and one between the eyes.
1 out of three shots landing are decent odds, though if it was a no choice situation I'd rather a gpmg to be sure. I loved firing one of those.
and me in the sustained fire role, it could take out a flock of sheep ( purely accidentally of course ) at a thousand yards no problem .
yes no comparison in rate of fire but for simplistic accuracy and longevity the Bren was a cracking weapon , used successfully during the Falklands and I believe into the 90's, that's one hell of a record of longevity .Yep a real good cutter, makes the old bren look like a pop gun

My chosen weapon for the Jungle was the American carbine as it was lightweight and easy to handle. In training in Malaya we still had the old 303, the shortened version, with a flash eliminator like the Bren gun. ..... trouble with the Bren was with a burst, it had a habit of pulling to the right and upwards. .......... in the jungle you did not really need a weapon that needed distance, that's why I chose the semi automatic Carbine, Bloody great.
A mate from Cardiff and myself were. Marksmen, which was not always to our benefit .

If we were allowed weapons as in USA I'd have a nice shopping list starting with AK47, M16, Ingram mac 10 , heckler koch mp5, to start with
Boris and his bosses won't allow that though cos they would live in fear like Brits in certain cities do !
