Sorry I’m currently typing this on my IPad and my laptop is a works supplies Lenovo .I do have an apple laptop which I would recommend but your budget wouldn’t stretch to one I suppose.Hi all,
Advice needed please from this silver surfer. Our laptop, bout 8 years old seems to have seen better days.We would like to buy a new one but not sure,in fact no idea, what is best.We have set a maximum of £500 to buy one.
It would be used for net browsing and Skype for my better half to talk and see her family who live abroad.
So,is it possible to purchase one,reliable,for our budget?If so,which?
Thanks in advance folks.

) you'll still benefit from a bigger screen.Mrs Bubbs MacBook Pro was going slower and slower and was 13 years old so she bought that ASUS model listed. Fast processing speed, decent graphics card, pre-installed MS Office pro s/w (free for 1-yr/subscription thereafter) and loads of storage. Light too. The clincher was the touch screen (may seem odd but I did say just how useful a touch screen is nowadays). I’ve got a MacBook Pro that’s hardly used. iPad/iPhone in daily use, and a Surface Pro for work. My advice? Get a good tablet where you can do all the surfing, shopping and social media a laptop can do. The only downside with a tablet is no storage or ability to play media from a usb or cd/dvd - but I guess that’s so last year as everything is cloud based nowadays. Essentially-consider what you want a laptop for (storage of photos?) if you don’t use it for that and simply surf n shop - get a good tablet* would be my advice. Thanks swan
Guys any of these you would consider?
TIA.....
