I was in a recent design meeting for a new leisure centre and the facilities management company is talking about adding a data centre into it, so they can reclaim all the heat generated and use it to heat up the pool and building.
Might not happen on this job, but it is coming.
This has been going on for a while. There is not the capacity to supply the AI datacentre boom. Net zero is a total joke and it wasn't sustainable before this. It's got "zero" chance now. Companies like Meta/Microsoft/etc are building their own power production on site at these facilities. I think the Americans are building nuclear power plants to support it.
The "AI" bubble will burst sooner or later and at least there should be excess power afterward. Of course electricity prices will still be going up for the consumer no matter what.
Got to get rid of these cnuts as well as those in westmonster !

)... are the Senedd a comedy group? Sorry, I meant bunch of clowns. I expect them to have a policy where illegal immigrants will be mandatory to make up diversity quotas. There are medically insane people involved.
