One option for Government, after borrowing huge sums of monies for Covid, is to inflate the debt away….

I understand that French prices are lower because the French Govt owns c83% of EDF and instructed them to absorb the increase in the wholesale price of gas.

It's certainly infuriating, but I just don't trust any of these figures. Just doing a quick search you get so many conflicting numbers it's hard to know what is the truth.

It certainly seems like we are getting fleeced though.

I never liked PooTin, and his obvious demise in Ukraine is well deserved, I fully expect the end of him and his tin pot military machine with this war, and if his nukes are anything like the rest of his military machine, he would commit suicide to even go up against the west on this level, Russia would cease to exist, the guy has been exposed for what he is nothing but a murderous maniac 2nd level despot, way passed his sell by date,

I don't recall a huge fuss when Putin took Crimea in 2014 ? Maybe Ukraine's more important to the globalist ?

The truth is massive profiteering on a soft touch country !and transfering wealth from the poor to the rich at an accelerating rate ! Feels like a new type of warefare where we are constantly attacked by evil ruthless faceless NWO merchants ? Since twin towers it's been a constant onslaught against our peaceful way of life with never ending propaganda, fear, lies and diverting attention away from the ####$ causing it all .

A mate who lives in France said the French ownership and supply to UK allows us to subsidise lower bills for the French, and is used in electioneering out there ?

I have signed up to 'Don't pay campaign ' I have also cancelled my DDM on electricity, I don't think the government will allow the October increase to go ahead, there will be far too much fall out, besides nearly 2 million have already signed up to the 'don't pay campaign'. Personally I signed a fixed tariff until 2023 before all this energy crisis kicked off, so I have some slack at the minute, but I really do fear for millions of households....<ok>

the best way around it is if people make formal complaints to the energy companies, instead of just not paying, because they will just cut people off and cause them all sorts of problems, when people make formal complaints it's like an open case, and the bill doesn't need to be paid until a satisfactory outcome has been found for the complaint, the energy companies apparently will try to pacify the customer with some piecemeal solution of a voucher or a small deduction,or an apology, but if the customer decides this is not sufficient they have the right not to accept and keep the complaint open, this can continue for quite some time and they have no legal right to cut off power while there is a complaint open. If enough people did this it would cause them a sufficient problem to find a proper solution and charge customers the proper rates. the important part is having an open formal complaint. You can find information about this on the internet.

Tory privatisation of all and sundry seemed like a bad, short sighted idea at the time to me. It hasn't aged well <doh>
