The bankers and monopolies that own them and everything we buy and use dictate who what, why and when things happen everywhere. Imo. Nothing new here. It was ever thus. The ' elite ' rule, by right of birth, etc., whilst the ' plebs ', the poor people who it is assumed by the elite have no redeeming qualities other than to make the rich even richer, well, they meekly follow. Despite the 'elite' being heavily outnumbered by the ' plebs', they still hold all the power. What is it about the vast population of downtrodden individuals that renders them so impotent to effect change ? Why are they so determined to remain enslaved, and in awe, of those who have literally obtained their powerful stations by default ? The Johnson's, May's, Cameron's, etc., surely only deserve our contempt. They are not fit to lead, and inspire. Yet lead us is what they do, and they do it with our connivance. Astonishing, really, just how gullible and stupid we are, that we allow this to continue ad nauseum. We desperately need some real leaders, heroes to inspire us against those who will control us. Would that we had an Alexander, a Horatio, even a Roy of the Rovers, to inspire us to give these eliteist bastards the kicking they deserve. Sadly, it's not going to happen while people are glued to their mobile phones, watching Gogglebox, and ordering takeaway.
The fact that Labour has Starmer in charge means that people won’t be enthused. Boris, although a lying buffoon, is regarded as a lovable rogue, and a vote winner compared to Starmer. Additionally, people at the next election will be wary of voting in a Starmer, Sturgeon, Davey alliance…. People this side of Hadrian’s Wall won’t want a Government with Jimmy Krankie pulling the strings ….
If voting changed anything they wouldn't let us do it ! It's just an illusion now ! With the choice of 2 evils standing as always in the 2 horse race letting no other realistic option on the field it's a rigged game. After the backfiring kick in the bollox the establishment had when The brexit vote went against them cos they underestimated the people's will and took for granted they'd get thier own way they won't take that chance again . Just look at the recent bent elections in America and France that's the future for democracy now.
Just a few days ago the country was 'celebrating ', if that's the right word, the D Day landings. Today the muslim council of Britain is celebrating yet another, spineless, climb down by a once great country. The Germans tried to conquer us, and failed, yet we allow the modern day conqueror's to succeed, without having to fire a single shot. All those brave men, and women, who gave their lives in two world wars have been so badly let down. I get physically sick just thinking about it.

I've literally given up any hope for free speech, tolerance and common sense. Society is stuffed. The frightening thing is that the loonies may be a minority now but they're the future population and will be the overwhelming majority in the not too distant future. Think the country's run badly now? The human race is de-evolving and on a downward spiral and I'm glad I'm not any younger. At least I enjoyed some semblance of sanity in my life. As I always tell my parents - you lived through the best times. They're 74.
I lived among muslims for almost 20 years. Even the moderate ones are fanatics. World domination is their goal, and The West is making it ever so easy for them. They laugh at how inept we have become. The muslim council of britain call all the shots, and community cohesion is their constant mantra. Islam has changed so many parts of the UK, it's amazing how British values, laws, etc., have become watered down. The future of The West has already been mapped out. Birthrates dictate that muslims WILL outnumber non muslims. The only uncertainty is when - how many years down the road ? Successive governments have sold us down the river, and as I pointed out in an earlier post, we have let them.
Anyone else watch "Real Time with Bill Maher"? I wish we had someone on UK tv with a show like this. Yes I know it's the US but I love his no nonsense put down of woke lunacy, amongst other things. If not already there, then the UK isn't too far behind the US....
The sad thing is that I found none of this funny, because I already know how backward a country the USA is. Nothing there was surprising - just reaffirming the stereotype. This is a country that voted Trump into presidency and then put on their conspiracy theory hats when they didn’t like being faced with facts when their cult leader lost the next election. More guns is the answer to everything it seems.

I was just about to respond to the last post, but your offering covers it quite nicely. No individual civil servant is responsible for making such decisions. They are employed to do a job, and to take orders. The fact that their remuneration makes the rest of the working population feel sick/green with envy, is not their fault. It's the system.
