Yeah he just doesn't have as much skill and doesn't score as many goals!

I know what you mean, they are very similar and McShane reminds me a lot of Cannavaro.

Proschwitz reminds me of Mike Tyson more than anyone else...

Proper tough bastard - always wearing gloves...

Probably won't matter who partners Gedo if he has this strike-rate...9 goals in 9min 11 secs !

Notice I said his style, the way he moves around pitch etc.,

OLM, I can't support you with your thoughts on McShane though. Lol :)

For me, Proschwitz doesn't look settled in at all. He is always looking at the floor, he is always looking depressed and never communicates with the rest of the team! I think that is the reason he isn't doing so well. Once we get him settled in, he will start to play more and hopefully score more.

Does anyone know how long proschwitz has left on his contract?, might be an idea to extend it now so we reap the rewards when he comes good in a couple of years time

He signed a 3 year contract, giving him an extension might be a tad premature :p

That clip makes me feel really optimistic about Gedo. He seems to score goals of every type and his finishing is always clinical and instinctive. He also strikes the ball quickly before the goalie can set himsef in a Stuart Elliot sort of way.
I reckon he has the potential to become a great all-round (not in a Zaki way) striker. Get your cheque book ready Assam.

Spot on. Not only is his striking technique instinctive, I am really impressed with his movement & ability to anticipate where the ball is gonna end up. I think his knowledge of how Elmo & Fathi play will be an advantage in weeks to come, and with Brady firing them in from the other side we could be in for a thrilling run in. A couple of the other clips one of the other Egyptian lads posted on another thread shows he can be very cool and deliberate in his shooting, as well as being a great header of the ball. Good times ahead methinks.

Might of been cup games but it certainly wasn't November. Prossy was willing to tackle and fight for the ball on Tuesday when he lost it , Simpson never seems. Simpson has had ample time to prove his worth and I am sorry he doesn't do it for me. Prossy is improving all the time, so he missed a sitter, I have lost count of the number of times Simpson has since he last scored

I would rather Proschwitz partnered Gedo tomorrow but Simpson tackled and fought for the ball on Tuesday so to say he didn't isn't fair.

I hope you're right and as I said yesterday, I certainly won't judge the Gedo/Simpson partrnership until I have seen it. I just think Bruce might want a bit of continuity from Tuesday's second half?

he might do, but without sounding overly harsh i dont think the 2nd half had anything to do with prozzy, in fact i dont think the 2nd half as a whole was that much better , it was just masked in the excitement of gedos first touch and a late winner..
all strikers miss chances, but if it was 1-1 when prozzy had missed that chance it would have been a shambles.

Have to say I disagree with every sentence there. Prossy wasn't willing to fight at all whereas Simpson was (however ineffective it was), Prossy isn't improving, that was probably his worst performance for us and Simpson hasn't missed a chance in ages that's his problem he isn't getting into the positions.
