    I was more going down the route that people from Hull look strange. I have never read or watched The Hobbit, but I assume there are some weird looking characters in it? In fact, never mind.

    If you walk down Holderness Road on a Friday night, you will certainly encounter some strange creatures. That can be said of most roads in East Hull, though. Tolkien must have been drinking water from the Holderness Drain when he came up with those images.
