He will be wanting someone else at the end of the season. After all he’s told us Nketiah is definitely joining us in January. So RR knows that Arsenal are definitely going to recall him and send him to us. But then again RR told us Pearson was definitely becoming our manager a few years ago. You know the really successful manager who is now a Belgium first division B manager.
I read this back when Pulis was there. Apparently he would have joined us like a shot, but I also read that his wage demands were outside our strict structure, which is why it never happened. Shame in one respect because I really rate him at our current level, but at the same time I agree with keeping wages under control.
was going to mention that, but thought that maybe as part of the promoted team he had found his calling and would /might do well ?
Hasn't Gayle been injured for quite a while? He may be fit now but no guarantees. Look at Kalas, our record signing but missed a fair bit of this season already. It would be a lot to gamble on a player who maybe has a question mark over his fitness.
It doesn’t matter how fit players are - or their medical history. They all get injured within a few weeks of joining us........
I hope we have no real intention of signing Gayle because I think his prime may have passed. Although our transfer business will never shock the footballing world I think we have found a strong ground in that we won't cross a certain line in the sand due to the perils out beyond our limits. Ever been to Burnham-on-Sea???
No no no ! The trouble with the January window is that average players suddenly become ridiculously expensive.
