de rigueur for us alternative types no matter the age. It is scary to think that not too many decades ago blokes my age wouldn't be seen dead without a 3-piece suit, even if it wasn't for work and just lounging about the house, and you wouldn't leave the house without a hat. Until the 1950's you went from short trousers straight into flannels and Fairisle cardigans.
Just, and I mean just, missed this age of fashion excellence. I have passed through the years of loon pants, kickers, levis/wrangler checked shirts (Rory Gallagher), branded t + polo shirts and windcheaters and have departed from the dark side into the light. I would now be loathe, apart from short shopping trips, to be seen outside without brogues, pressed thick cord trousers (with turn-ups), a well marched shirt'n'tie, a tweed jacket and some expensive head wear. Gloves of course are 'de rigueur' from November to March. A raincoat or overcoat of Austrian branding, Schneiders for instance, is also advised should inclement weather or the season require such outerwear. Toodle-pip!
^^^^ Old, lives near Easter Road, dresses like a **** and visits Scorpio massage parlour. Only a matter of time before I find him...
Tried the latter myself in 2015 after an overnighter with a Glagow burd who used to 'work' at Scorpio Leisure. Great deal from the insurance company; new kitchen with large and small appliances plus close on four months in classy Edinburgh hotel. For information I will be out of the country until February!
