Gateshead

I'll be there. If you're going I wouldn't wait until just before kick-off. I expect whacking long queues just like there were before the play-off final against Telford, when the start had to be delayed to let people get in.

I hope that they would rearrange the fixture
I obviously dont want to miss a toon game
but the chance of going to Wembley for what will most likely be relatively cheap isn't worth missing either

 

Well that match was a disappointment no Wembley, and Darlo fans who were bang out of order at the end.

 

Before we set off for Stoke a few of the guys waiting for the coach were talking about missing the home Brum game and going to Wembley to support the Heed!

 

Considered it, as it would have been nice for them to get to the final and it would have been my first opportunity to go to the new Wembley, not going to watch England, players don't try and hate most of them.

 

Thought darlo fans were good vocally but hangin onto the ball in last few mins was pure ****ish given the situation. Went to wembley last september for England - bulgaria match and enjoyed it despite not liking england too much. Getting away afterwards was a bitch though.

 

Oh that was pathetic, didn't liked the way they ran at the Gateshead fans looking for trouble, reminded me of the Sunderland fans after they beat us in 2008.

 

Did they? Never saw that, left about 30 secs before the end after gateshead conceded a fk or something

 

Yep, only one Gateshead from the stand behind the goal looked interested in fighting them but he never got towards them, thankfully.

 

Good. Didnt realise there'd been a pitch invasion like. Where abouts were you sat/stood?

 

Was near the back, towards the goal Gateshead attacked second half, where were u sat?

 

Near the noisly lot then?
Erm row v, near back, infront of a pillar just left of where the lad filming the match was if you saw him.

 

Never looked at the row, me dad just found the first two available seats, did see the noisey lot, didn't see the lad filming.

 

For those wanting to support a local side and get a day out to Wembley, Whitley Bay are in the semi finals of the FA Vase, the final is played at Wembley so hopefully they can make it there.

 

Haven't got family from there, so doesn't mean as much to me, though I would like to see them win.

 

I like to see all the north east teams doing well except the one whose name I can't say, makes me feel quite ill if I do.

 

An interesting one I was thinking of, as North East non-league football goes.... what about Sunderland RCA (and Sunderland Nissan before they dissolved)?

 

I like to see them all do well apart from the one's from Sunderland and Middlesbrough, but given a choice between Gateshead or Whitley Bay I'd choose Gateshead everytime.
