Same as Rangers from about 5 year back.

It’s the first shirt I’m buying in about 20 years. Usually not my thing but it’s a beauty. Love the retro vibes.

It’s the unique touches that make Hummel special.

There’s bespoke by Adidas, a slight alteration to a template or whatever, then there’s Hummel, incorporating bits of the city or its heritage and making them utterly unique.

To even have the thought process to use a piece of local art looking at a local landmark as a shirt pattern is just so special, then to add the local lads song lyrics inside. The depth of thought they go to is magic.

A blend of Under-18, Under-21, and first-team players drew 2-2 with Gateshead as the Lads began their preparations for the 2025-26 season.
    https://www.safc.com/news/2025/july...rget-as-development-side-draw-with-Gateshead/
All four goals came in the opening 45 minutes, with a trialist opening the scoring for the hosts in the early stages. Trey Ogunsuyi and Joe Anderson put the Black Cats ahead, before Fenton John equalised for the National League side.
Ian Poveda and Nazariy Rusyn started the first half alongside Jack Whittaker and Jaydon Jones, both of whom recently signed their first professional contracts with the club.
The second half saw returns for Matty Young, Jay Matete, Abdoullah Ba, and Luís Hemir.
Gateshead took the lead inside the opening ten minutes, as their trialist cut inside and slotted the ball into the corner.
A near-instant response followed, with Poveda forcing Tiernan Brooks into a smart save.
Poveda continued to threaten, striking the outside of the post with another effort around 20 minutes later.
With a third of the match played, Murty’s side found their equaliser. Jack Whittaker’s initial effort was deflected into the path of Ogunsuyi, who reacted quickly to finish beyond Brooks.
The Lads then turned the game around just two minutes later. Joe Anderson collected the ball 25 yards from goal and rifled a low strike into the bottom corner.
Just before the break, Fenton John brought the Heed level again with a composed finish beyond Blondy Nna Noukeu.
The second-half side started brightly, with Felix Scott and Ba both posing a threat from central areas. Murty was soon forced into a change, as Matty Burns came on to make his Sunderland debut following an injury to Scott.
Charlie Dinsdale came close to restoring the lead on 65 minutes, with a powerful long-range strike that stung the palms of Brooks.
Hemir continued to cause problems in the closing stages, but substitute goalkeeper Preston Leech denied his one-on-one effort with 15 minutes to play.
The game finished level, with Murty’s side continuing their summer schedule at Darlington on Tuesday 15th July.

    SAFC XI – First Half:
Nna Noukeu, Lavery, Kindon, Anderson, Lightfoot, Hunt, Jay Jones, Whittaker, Poveda, Rusyn, Ogunsuyi.

    SAFC XI – Second Half:
Young, G. Bell, L. Bell, Holcroft, Neild, Matete, Scott (Burns), Ba, Dinsdale, Hester (Barker), Hemir.
