How come the stadiums built in the middle of housing estates like Anfield don't have gates? Imagine people not being allowed to live down their street anymore because of security reasons.

    Yawn. He's here.

So when I say I can't see the use of it etc you ignore it. As per.

If the security services say get a gate , get a ****ing gate.
    The end.

    "Here's my view. The end."

Right out of the Chazz textbook of forum posts that one.

I know a bloke, who knows a bloke, whose mother in law's sister husband knows a woman who heard on the grapevine, from the auntie of another woman whose daughters boyfriends sister took the minutes of the last local terrorists meeting . Rumour is, she's been gobbling off that since the introduction of the gate, although it's never yet been shut, Isis have had a major rethink on placing an IED in the vacinity of the circle. This proves without doubt the value of the gate, as a well renowned unnamed terrorist:bandit: stated it'd be "a bit of a b*****d" to carry a bomb all the way over the railway lines to find the gate closed. One leading fighter, also unnamed:bandit:, suggested putting it in a Tesco trolley and booling it round through the park. This was rejected as they couldn't be arsed and as they only had a lidel carrier bag and thought it may arouse suspicion.

Moral of the story, the gate works fine. Thank you SMC.

Ps terrorism these days is a real threat, please be vigilant :police:

No way is that the end. Any man and his dog can see there is public access to the whole stadium area, both pedestrian and vehicle. Putting a gate on a known short cut used by the public needs to be explained clearly, not an all encompassing "it's for security" when you can easily walk or even drive up to and around the stadium.

What is more important is the lack of dialogue between the council and smc over the issue of terrorism

William Gemmell Pub on Anlaby Road. It's where the Hull City Action for Change group are meeting today.

The gates around St James’ Park are only closed on matchdays and control traffic. They’ve been there for years. They are the precise opposite to what has been erected at the KCOM.

Key to this is whether the walkway is a designated public right of way. The digging I’ve done suggests it isn’t designated as such yet but could be as it is clearly a route that the public use. I wonder if that is the true intention behind the gate.

I certainly don’t buy the terrorist threat stuff. That’s the 2017 equivalent of the Harvard Business School marketing power paper.

Recently erected yellow bollards going out the gate on to Walton st car park, I imagine there will be other things around the kcom. It's like all football clubs are having to do what they can, no matter where they are situated.
    Bloody terrorists eh tut

This gate needs to go to planning as its over 2mt tall. If you object please email me [email protected]

    Turns out it's over 1.9m tall. <laugh>

I read summat about not needing planning permission under 2 metres. That's why they withdrew the application.

It's not 1.95m is it? Squabbling about about the height is not the answer.
