Genuinely surprised the A Team from back in the day haven't gone and sorted the council out over this as a favour to Dr Allam, to curry his favour. Write your own puns.
Keep reading your Inglis portmanteau as "Crimlis" - the former chippy 'chain' on Holderness Road. Despite the early hour, making me extra hungry.
Yes I agree he's hardly one to talk with his past is he ?? The awarding of private contracts for 30 years whitewash springs to mind. Anyway enough politics Ta.
Would be a perfect fit for a national firm of Funeral Directors to sponsor the stadium - what with all those dead bodies been discovered there in between games...
They were at least two that I recall and they were pretty close to each other. Ridiculously close. One was opposite TG as you say. The other was the other side of Craven Park, next to Victoria Wine, near Southcoates Av. Maybe 150 yards apart? God knows why they had two so close to each other. I assume the rugby must have propped 'em up a fair bit. For me, it was one of them when I fancied going, it was closed.
It was only a matter of time: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news.../boy-injured-climbs-over-controversial-606300 A boy has been injured trying to climb the closed gate to the KCOM Stadium bridge. An ambulance crew was called to the bridge – which connects Argyle Street to the stadium – just before 9am on Tuesday. The boy, described by witnesses as a 'young lad', was transported to Hull Royal Infirmary with a hand injury, Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed in a statement. Reports circulated on social media suggesting the boy had been on his way to college and tried to climb over the gate on the closed bridge. Chris Young said in a tweet: "Hope the young lad who injured himself this morning on the infamous fence on the KC Stadium bridge is all OK. Poor lad." SMC, which owns the lease to the KCOM Stadium, said it helped the boy who had become stuck on the gate. They said: "We are aware of the incident and helped the person obtain medical attention. "The gate is closed and clearly signed to show that access is not available, any attempt to gain access would be at their own risk. "As stated in previous SMC statements this path is not a public right of way and this person had other ways of entering the stadium bowl if required." The controversy surrounding the bridge, which was first closed by the Superstadium Management Company (SMC) back in July, continued when Hull City Council blocked access to the Argyle Street end of the bridge on Friday, October 6. An agreement was later reached between the council and SMC that the bridge would be opened during the hours of Hull Fair. SMC said it was only willing to open the gate if the local authority would pay for security, which it objected to. Police were forced to open the gate as scores of people were seen climbing over it to get to Hull Fair. It was however shut again at 11pm once the fair had closed. A spokesman for the force said at the time: "A number of members of the public had tried to access the gate on their way into and from the fair, but were unable to as it was locked. "There were attempts by some individuals to climb over and around the gate. "A multi-agency decision to open the gate was taken by Hull City Council, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Humberside Police to ensure that the safety of the public was protected." Police and the council announced on Saturday that the gate would be reopened from 9.30pm to midnight. It will also be open between 4pm and midnight between Monday and Friday and from 2pm to midnight on Saturday, October 14 - the final day of Hull Fair.
Still awaiting the report regarding the bloke caught carrying a wash basin and 10 metres of copper pipe trying to climb the gate earlier today. Police have revealed that they have successfully thwarted an attempted terrorist attack by a suicide plumber.
Ah but it does serve a purpose, in fact two. Creates another battle between the Allams and HCC Pisses off the general public. As for why the Allams do things like this I have no idea.
Hurt himself on a gate, less than 6 feet tall, going to College. Can't be sports studies, must be media studies he's taking...
