A lot of people in Hull do going by the indignation in the HDM and RH when Hull is low down on any lists or high on ones which are lists of crap things.
Yes, but people get upset by these lists and rush to air their views which suggests they are taking them seriously.
Indeed – hence my inverted commas. People should be proud of their city and if they, like most of us do from time to time, respond to such provocation, then let’s hope they rebuff it rather than excuse or even adopt it.
Unfortunately it's ingrained in plenty of people. Whatever is done some people just pull it apart or say what a load rubbish/waste of money. Including family members.

This is true although, through personal experience, I’ve seen it manifest in other cities too. I haven’t got the time nor study to offer a solid discussion on it, but I think it has to be tied up, amongst other things, in a form of working class pessimism that's probably worldwide. I suppose if you rubbish everything, you’ll never be truly disappointed.
Lots of people moan about their own towns/cities. I do, along with others. But out with the dog this morning, looking at the bay with a blue sky overhead and waves gently breaking as the tide turned and the beach virtually deserted, I thought to myself I might moan but there sure are worse places to live.
I'm sure they'd just get someone else. Probably someone unscrupulous. Can't see it helping. Would love to see the council do something about the lease, but I guess that the terms of it effectively make it the Allams' stadium until the lease runs out or 24 hours passes.
Love conspiracy theories, mate just texted me. With criminglis calling for the kcom to stop sponsoring the stadium does this allow for the Allams to get money in to offer naming rights to a large multinational?? The comments won't last long on the hdm they're all having a go at criminglis dodgy past.
