Only if you’re an idiot. To the rest of us he’s really very angsty and simply wades in throwing accusations around based on stuff in his head. Don’t forget he’s the original source of the amusing “I didn’t watch it but....<full on rant>. I’m not angry at all. I’m happy. Clues in the name.
Well true. Although my local council don’t have an SMC type situation on their hands that I’m aware of. So I guess I’m neutral on them. HCC are meant to be the guardians of the SMC and after acting like ****s in the beginning, therefore not blameless, should be sorting out this crap over the gate. You’d think their showpiece fair would be enough incentive but no, still doing **** all.
I'll bite Happy. Apart from selling the KCOM to the Allams the Labour leadership has bent over backwards not to upset them. I think they botched the legal action over the Airco Arena on purpose. They did enough to fend off criticism but when they accepted they could put down an artificial grass pitch they'd effectively lost. The reason may be the amount of money the Labour Party gets from the Allams or it may be because they are frightened of him. Either way they will be looking to fudge this if they can. I don't accept refusing to give them the stadium was wrong. They offered the Allams a partnership to develop the sports village but it was turned down. I think the Council acted fairly reasonably, unless someone really did promise to give him the freehold. However that would be that person's error not the council's. However so much water as passed under the bridge and it is clear the Council and the Allams will never get on. The Allams act like spoilt children, unless you give us some money we're closing the gate for Hull Fair. It's pathetic, made worse by trying to claim they are doing it on the advice of the anti-terrorist unit nearly a year after putting in their original planning application. Brady and the Labour leadership have to bite the bullet and end this fiasco as soon as possible. The only way to do that is to end the lease. We'll see if they have the balls to do it.
They won't. I'm sure they'll take action over the gate, but they won't get involved in taking back the stadium lease. I suspect the only way the council would even consider taking back the lease, is if AP agreed to take control of the SMC again and he won't do that during the Allams tenure.
We both know that sadly, they won't. If the path's a public right of way, or if its under the control of the council, it would be a simple matter to say "sure, we got that covered" but they're amateurs, or incompetent, depending on your point of view. I suspect they're just biting their tongues, and waiting, hoping that the Allams will sell up soon and go, then they'll try the same tricks on the new owners, with the same result, unless they're lucky enough to end up negotiating with owners as inept as they are. Dunno about interesting times, more like sad times really.
If you have seen the bit from the HDM which PLT posted it clearly shows where the council are at. A gentlemen's agreement can only work when dealing with gentlemen. I am 100% sure they are just hoping the Allams go and go soon. Perhaps you can tell us about the tricks the council has used on the Allams and will try on the new owners.
They reall can't "botch" a legal action obi. A joint venture won't make money with a council. Unless your a despotic middle eastern regime looking for a good name then you can do it. No one else would. Also AP wouldn't take it as he was as pissed off with the lack of support to do owt with the area from the council. He was just more diplomatic about it.
Yeah, though luckily that makes me laugh. Me and you are probably the most chilled blokes on here. Well either angry, ranting or drunk of course. But yeah, they don't like people disagreeing with them, never have. I'm just pleased I don't have to make an effort to disagree with them, it's so easy cos they're generally wrong anyhow.
I love the way plt quotes inglis. As though he's some great bloke. He's one of the most odious ****s to ever serve on the council. If not the most. Acquitted of child abuse, I mean every care worker often takes a looked after teenager away with them to stay fora weekend in London with his gay friends. The norm. Well it is for labour councillors. I see Bayes is up next week. Downloading child porn. Very reliable man, why some on here even took his word about meeting the Allams.
It's a noticeable trait of your's that rather than debate the point you have a go at the poster. Go on tell us all about the gate and why the SMC is right.
And just like happy you also have a dig at the person and not the point he's making. Do you not think that Inglis sums up the situation at the moment.
Whoa whoa whoa. Where does that dig the poster. It's me who keeps getting personal digs. Not that I give a ****. The council want the smc. Take it back then. Do you dispute the smc and the sag meeting said they had info from an Anti terror unit? Yes or no? Do I think the Allams have used this to dig the council? Yes. Did you complain and go mental when the council locked the gates on Walton st car park? Yes or no? I'd love to know how many posters on here actually ever use the footpath. I doubt less than 50% of posters use it on a match day. I bet less than 5% have ever used it at any other time.
I realise you’re a bit soft in the head but it’s hard to keep making excuses for you. I have not said at any point that the SMC is right. I’ve not seen the NECTU report or anything other than what’s in the public domain. On the face of it, I think it’s a bit shabby. I also think if it was as wrong as it’s claimed that HCC should be expected to do something. They won’t though. Read that a couple of times. Let it sink in. Back in the room yet? Don’t you think HCC should be doing more?
