Yes I agree, but I think that is because they want to play open football. Many of the lesser sides just want to park a bus

I certainly thought Coutinho didn't look any better

"The sort of luxury player Southampton don't need"- what abject nonsense, unless you want to buy some Stoke type players because you think Saints ambition is to bounce up and down between Championship and Premiership. "Fits the Arsenal profile" - last time I checked, despite their worst season in living memory Arsenal are above us. If we genuinely want to progress, players with the ability and potential of Gaston are PRECISELY the type of players, in a blend with the Lallanas etc, that Southampton do need!

Don't agree with Thurmwood. I think 'players like Gaston' are precisely the type of players that we do need. However I am still disappointed by his inconsistency and form for us so far.

And Coutinho didn't look any better? He looked pretty good to me. Only player for Liverpool that actually did loog dangerous with Morgan, Cork and Rodriguez getting on top of Gerrard and Allen.

Anyway we are on MOTD now switching to TV for 10 minutes :) AAALLL BE BAKKKK

I think we all need to remember that Gaston is still a very young man who has moved to England, far away from home with a different language, culture and crap weather.
He is still developing and look forward to see him continue to develop and bed into club. I expect great things from him next year assuming Arsenal don't offer silly money for him

He'll develop, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he was sold off at some point down the line and we blooded a youngster from the academy. If Arsenal offer silly money for him in the Summer, we should take it. With the talent we've got, we can afford to take a hit in midfield, it's our defence we need to concentrate on strengthening.

Everyone gets sold sometime, but I'm sure we will keep Ramirez for a couple of seasons. He is our type of player and will get better (and he's pretty good now).
