He is an AM. From what Rodgers said about money being there but not overflowing, I doubt we will see a purchase like this. He wants 3-4 players so can see 10 mil tops in the summer.
 
I would guess they are saying Juve, Man City etc are interested so he can increase his wage demands. I doubt they'll get £20m for him either. £10-15m I would guess is what he'll go for if he does leave Bologna.

Ya that is what I am saying, only 30 to play with and he wants to bring 3-4 in, so will probably be players in the 10 mil range.

Lucaaas, Wolfsburg offered 15 already and I think we offered like 16.5 in january I think? Something came out with that not sure if it was true.
 
I thought it was around £40m plus whatever he moves on, can see us bringing in maybe £10m in sales so I would say he will have around £50 million to play with
 
Let's hope he has around 50 that should be enough to get quality players in. Meireles was only 11 mil and he was good for us, those type of players are out there.
 
I have a feeling they will back him if he finds the targets. Granted this is all my gut telling me this....But i do have a rather impressive gut :p
 
They haven't rejected the wolfsburg bid but I think they are holding out to hear from us, city, Juve, and the strong spanish team ( valencia, malaga, sevilla?) .

Hey if Meireles can join when Hodg was in charge, surely Rodgers can pull a few names in! <laugh>
 
I actually think there's a big chance of us signing Sigurdsson. So that could see us lining up with a midfield three of Gerrard, Lucas and Sigurdsson ahead of them. Wouldn't be that bad for the £6.8m even If I wouldn't encourage it because of the fact we've just poached their manager.

Then we'll probably see Suarez as a wide forward, as I can't see Rodgers wanting him as his striker when he likes his strikers to stay up top, and a winger like Belhanda or Ramirez (examples) on the other side. Then bring a striker in. Dunno who though, there's plenty of goalscorers around the place. Demba Ba for £7m? Pazzini from Inter as he's fallen out of favour and form? Dzeko from City? Huntelaar from Schalke? Who knows but we've got options at least and saving money by buying cheaper alternatives like Sigurdsson in one position could give us more room to manoeuvre when looking for a winger or a striker.
 
Even if we have plenty, we don't have the CL to bring those players in.

Not so long ago Werner quashed rumours of no money to spend by saying one player they were looking at would cost at least £25m. I wonder if that remains to be true.
