Dead legs are something to be taken very seriously,a mate of mine who i play rugby with got a dead leg in training, nothing to bad at the time ,just a bang from someones knee into his thigh.Anyway, he thought it would just go away, you know tried to run it off.Just like countless others that we have all had at one time or another. However the swelling did not go away and after a few days it got much worse. The damage inside his leg from the collision continued to slowly bleed and swell. This, then started to affect his range of movement in the leg and the pain was excruciating. He luckily decided to go to the hospital ,where he was immediately admitted and and had to have surgery. The doctors reckoned he was only a day or so away from having to have his bloody leg cut off.....dead legs are not to be taken for granted and it must have been some knock if gaston ended up in hospital ,even if only as a precaution, i think we all agree that he will serve us much better with both of his legs still attached to his body...
I remember a PL player, a few years ago, may have been a Spurs player, suffered complications from a dead leg and was out for long time. He was quite close to having his leg amputated from memory.
Assuming this is true despite no source, he'll miss: West Ham Spurs West Brom Swansea Which can be taken either well: Aside from Spurs, they're winnable games so we might be able to survive without Ramirez, or badly: If we had a full strength side, we'd see them as much easier.
Adkins said that Gaston had been taken to hospital for a few days while he was being interviewed by the BBC. Judging from past experience it does usually take about 4 to 6 weeks to get over a dead leg of that nature, especially if it has developed into a hematoma. They mentioned that his leg had to be drained to relieve pressure, that means there could be extensive muscle damage. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery and can return to action in time for either swansea at home or the trip to QPR.
LeTissier obviously speaks to someone at the club as he said he will be out for 4-6 weeks , he also rates him .
Wahey thankyou! Although that's not as concrete a source as I thought. Need it from the horses mouth, or Adkins.
It's obvious that people will speak to him , he works for sky sports , he is an ex professional and also arguably the most famous Saint .
Despite being a legend, LeTiss does have a tendency to chat ****. Wouldn't take everything he says as gospel.
Our own manager talks **** mist of the time but that does not stop him from being liked and respected .
Nigel is fond of management psycho-babble, true. But he endeavours to work hard to gain control of the sentence to win the game. Together as one.
It's a blow, he was looking very good indeed. Does anyone know what the situation is with Richardson?
Wasn't a straight forward dead leg...swelled up and it needed 2 days hospital treatment to reduce it.
As said not a normal dead leg. Qwerty - sorry I can't. GMI - we can both be on the same side in this one, it is so. Saints are looking at 6 weeks full recovery estimate right now.
