I'd take his side-ways passing for a bit of steel, thats for sure. He wasn't the most technically gifted player, but I could see a roll for him, certainly in the last four games.

the problem was we were playing 442 last year, this year we have been crying out for a tough tacklin midfielder when we have a lead for the last 25 minutes, at least if he passes sideways we keep the ball. Ask Ferguson if he would have prefered Nani to take people on or pass sideways late on in the game

All our problems are at an end, rejoice.

Vino sure tastes that bit better knowing his leg hasn't been amputated. <ok>

It's not worth the risk if the player hasn't fully recovered. He needs to be sure Ramirez is 100% back to fitness because thinking about starting him as if he gets injured again it could be curtains for us.

Apart from I don't want him to get sacked you idiot. I've been watching Saints for years. You don't have a clue.

I agree that its not worth the risk, but if Ramirez plays then you can be sure that he is fully recovered and 100% back to fitness. Nigel knows better than most managers the importance of recovery.

Is this the longest thread ever without a comment from Gomarchingin? Must be because it's good news and he can't cope.

Hopefully he'll be along soon to tell us the truth and why this is a bad thing and that the blame lies squarely at NC's door for something he did or didn't do in the summer...

I know this is a bit childish...but i'm like a kid before christmas. Before the Villa game I was excited to see him, but wasn't aware just how good he was. This time I know what's coming, and I can't bloody wait!

To be fair it's not quite the same, Delgado ruined himself to play in that bloody world cup. I know what you mean though, with the constant hope attached to his imminent return, which never quite happened.

I know you fellas have never actually had a world class player, but remember Le Tiss? Pretty sure he kept us up on his own...

I can see it now. Half-time WBA leading 3-1 and Gaston comes on for the second half and we win 5-4. Was going to say 4-3 but our defence may not have read the script.
