That's true mate, and I don't profess to know everything because it's directly affected me either. I think every person will be different who is affected by certain conditions. I think there's enough evidence to say that Gascoigne suffered as a result of his circle of friends and his 'everybody look how stupid I can be' attitude, you can trace that right back to the womb for me. Like I said earlier, I hope others don't suffer as a result, there are plenty of people who need medical help with conditions that weren't self induced. He has to save himself.
That attitude's fine if you're setting off fire extinguishers & cutting your team mates clothes up in the dressing room I suppose. But when involves thinking you know better than people like Bobby Robson, who really tried to help him, it becomes self destructive. As I've said I believe that everyone who egged him on, including the public, share the blame. Perhaps that's why they're so quick to lay it all on Jimmy ****nut and his slaggy wife ......... both his lifestyle choices. (Hey, I just found out that you can't post a capital F after a Christian name )
I guess we can just hope that any talent coming through over the years can look at Best and Gascoigne as how not to go about being a professional footballer. Anyhow, I'm off to sort my **** out for the weekend, hope you all have a cracking weekend, with the obvious exception of tomorrow afternoon between 4 and 6 which I hope is thoroughly miserable for each and every one of you Adios.
