A tragic end to a REAL pro. Would have done well as Wales manager. Saw him on Football Focus yesterday, which I think I am right in saying is 'live'. Seemed in good spirits, but was obviously having problems of some sort. RIP Gary, my thoughts are with your family and loved ones.
Absolutely shocking. His life (from what the public know) seems really positive; leading the Welsh to consecutive wins, loving family, successful and respected man in his field. I don't get it?

R I P Gary. SOme of us have seen those darkest moments none of us have been in the place Gary was for him to do what he did. The world of football has lost a good man a good manager. Whatever it was that took you to that place Gary our thoughts are with those you left behind, rest peacefully now your torment and troubles are over.
This is a real shame. He was really turning Wales around and actually making them an ok team. I hope it was not suicide, he deserves to be remembered for more than that!

i didnt see this one coming. so you can have it all, money, wife, kids, job managing national team and still be ****ed up to the point where you take your own life. not much hope for the rest of us
Obviously no one knows what was going on in his personal life, but it just baffles me why a man in his position would want to kill themselves, wife, 2 kids, and he was clearly a pretty wealthy man. From the outside you would say he was a man with everything to live for.
