As fantastic as it was at the time, I don't really think our going 2-0 up was much to do with outthinking Wenger! Unless you class 'get up and at em right from the off' was some sort of tactical genius. If we are honest, it was a bit of a freak situation, we had the luck with us until that header was cleared off the line, then reality kicked in and Bruce's tactics were unable to see us through. Not knocking him on this occasion, it was a great effort by all, but just suggesting that we keep it real! We won the 1st freaky 10 minutes 2-0, we lost the rest of the match 3-0.
Which goes to show what a **** up the transfer window was with Bruce thinking we had enough to get us over the line. Even when we sign Powell and Giggs tells him he's an out and out striker and at his pomp played there for Wigan he hasn't YET played there for us.
