Thanks for the memories Gary, you were one of the main reasons I loved watching Sunderland in those days, RIP thoughts and prayers to your family
So sad to hear about Gary Rowell’s passing. One of my all time favourite players. I remember watching him, along with Shaun Elliot and Kevin Arnott break into the team. Such a joy to watch. My first away game was at Newcastle when he scored the hat trick. RIP Gary Always a hero
