He's a good player lads, a lot better than Henry even though that doesn't say much. Just turned 30 a couple of months ago. 27-31 is the best age for a midfielder, still in his prime ffs. Two year deal and we've got ourself a good allround midfield player that will provide options for us.
there are a few there tht I expect to leave..Jenas, Park (transfers have gone quiet), Taarabt, Mbia and possibly Hoillet. Hoillet owes us a good season and maybe this could be the season for him and SWP to perform to their abilities.
Hes not been given a number so hes not going to figure. The kids shouldnt be 1st reserve, we need 2 players for each position and then the kids.
Planks!!! - Have you honestly seen this guy play in the last 2 years??? - He's absolutely a nothing player bringing absolutely nothing to the table. No pace, no real presence, no threading of a pass, late in the tackle - but he's honest and will do his best I'll grant you. But so would I -would you like to see me on the right or left side of your midfield 4 or 5 or would you prefer me at the base of your diamond? I'm going to get like Queenslan in a minute - Loser my arse!!! And not Hulk's!!!
Our new midfield is based on some very forward thinking theories: Harold or Stephen:
DT I said in the line up thread that the two of them would start when the window slams shut. -----------------Green------------------ Simpson---Dunne----Onouha---Suk-Young ------------Barton-----O'Neil------------- Townsend--------------------------Hoilett -----------------Taarabt------------------ ------------------Austin-------------------

I happy to go along with things for now. Seems like a decent enough signing. Was underwhelmed with Derry and Hill when they signed but they've been two of our better performers over the last few seasons. He's made a few mistakes but time to back the Club and the manager now, IMO.
Have to say, I was impressed with O'Neil when he played for Pompey. West Ham made him a contract offer that didn't tempt him, hence he was a free agent. Seems a decent signing
Decent signing, some serious over reactions on here as usual. Championship club now, have to cut our cloth etc.
Please. I dont really know where to start with this to be honest. But basically i'll trust harry's judgement over yours.... whats the point of being negative for the sake of it. You clearly havent seen that much of him over the last few years, but given that hes a decent age and has played numerous PL games, im going to assume he's not as poor as you make him out to be. We've brought all these luxury "talented flair" players in before i.e Granero, M'bia, Hoilett and none of them worked, so i cant comprehend the ridiculous negativity surrounding signings like Henry and O'Neil. Theyre the exact opposite to the players we've all been complaining about for months. Harrys clearly realised we need a bit of steel on the pitch and has signed these kind of players up. But he just gets stick for it before they've even kicked a ball. Pathetic
Which includes not having ten centre midfielders. We needs to get rid of four or five before we considers signing another.
