I couldn't work out today if I heard it right when I thought Ferguson said in his pre-match interview, on Sky, that even teams like Stoke and Newcastle can beat anyone in the Prem. Anyone else hear him say that? Or was he simply pointing that Arse and Chelski had drawn with us two? Possibly. Slightly worried seeing Ferguson that he is looking more and more like Brian Clough just before he succumbed to alcoholism and departed football. Maybe it is just his ?ruscea?

He was saying that the league was a tight one and anyone is capable of beating anyone as we and Stoke proved against Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely the only way to prove you are capable of beating a team is to actually beat them?

Ask Fergie for clarification , he was probably drunk.

On a more serious note , Newcastle and Stoke could have easily beaten Arsenal and Chelsea and therefore are capable of beating them.

I have no qualms with that in theory, but the reality is that we didn't pose enough of a threat to steal a win despite our one-man advantage in the second half and reality is what matters. We proved we could match Arsenal, but not that we could beat them. Still, I'm looking forward to us testing that theory again at the Emirates, but with more positive results this time ;-)
