    The Shed was standing in Hickmott's time and the crumbly bit was fenced off for most of his era (from the Safety of Sports Act in 79). Sure. We got some bad crowds in the 80s like all clubs but also averaged over 20k in Div 2.

    And it is spelled 'sieg' not seig.

    Good effort but Must try harder ;)

    Right, someone needs to kill off this boring thread and since thread killing is my specialty I will have a go.


    Someone ripped the pages out of both ends of my dictionary today.

    I disagree. Holloway built a solid, united team of likeable, committed players warmly supported by the fans. That felt like a culture of sorts.

    As did Warnock. By some miracle, with Falvio on the scene. Warnock and Amit managed to foster a team-spirit and culture of a battling team with some flair.
