Where did Benitez come from before he took Valencia to the title?

where did mourinho come from before he took Porto to the title?

Everyone has to start somewhere and get a chance at some point.

You say we should sign players before they get too well known and too good for us... We'll surely same applies to coaches? We have to take a chance because we might not be able to attract the very best coaches in the world

Yep, and we signed Rafa after he had proven himself to be one of the top coaches.

You're right - everyone needs to start somewhere. But we're not in a position to do that. We've taken far too many risks. We don't need big names - we need people with solid reputations and good level experience.

SOD has no high level experience and has relatively little success.

Mac has no high level experience and no real success at a coaching level.

You're right - the same does apply but the players I refer to have built reputations as big talents across Europe.

What reps do SOD and Mac have? They're unknowns.

Macca's got the highest level of experience playing wise, maybe some of that will be valuable as he coaches. I've got the greatest respect for him and pleased to see him back. If he replicates for the club as a coach what he did as a player i.e. tremendous success that nobody could have predicted, I will be happy.

I think Jimmy was the one who mentioned Rodgers is surrounded by yes men, I agreed.
The new staff are anything but yes men so you have to see how they influence Rodgers before passing judgement.

OK so we'll have to see how the quite outspoken new men get on before we judge.
See Carra arms for my latest daft idea.

It's a great idea, it'll be like feeding a baby to rabid wolves!
