    Celtic paying him £12k a week and he wanted £70k to join us. A crazy waste of money whoever gets him.

    £20k-£25k a week is all that Hooper is worth.

    It does seem that his wage demands were too high for us, but I don't believe for a second he was demanding £70k a week.

    Agreed. Gary Hooper has finally show us all what he is really about. If a club is daft enough to pay him that then that is there business. Thankfully we have owners and a manager who actually know a players true worth.


    A 100% fit Bullard would be worth every penny of that amount. Yes he is that good. IMO, Only Gerrard and Lampart exceed to Bullards talent.

    So he's found his level, and its an EPL club. Shame it wasn't us, but am glad we stuck to our wage structure. We've now got beef with a minority of Celtic fans.

    All turned out ok in the end didn't it?

    Nick Thompson told sportstalk that Hooper wanted wages akin to telephone numbers and reports in scotland had it between £60k-£70 a week. More than likely to put us off as he wants to go back down south. Now he can.

    We have moved on thankfully.

    just done Rebelbhoy a favour and pointed out his mistake (in very polite, non-wumming terms).

    I would love to see QPR have a really bad start to the season and them get into serious trouble with breaking FFP rules - it does look at the minute that most clubs (including our own) are erring on the side of caution with transfer fees, which is no bad thing - level the playing field slightly.
