I think a few of their fans do as well. They seem to ignore all these financial troubles on the horizon and act as if its all okay.
Struggling to see what was funny about that comment... That is pretty much what 'arry will be set out to do.
Very true. The championship is going to be a killing zone this season without a doubt. If Watford keep it going then they can win the league. imo. Thank goodness we are PL now. But a great watch the championship will be.
I hope Watford do win the league next season despite their reliance on their links with Udinese. (tbf we do have very good links with Man Utd)
Our links with Manchester United are completely different to Watford and Udinese's. Firstly, Watford and Udinese are owned by the same people and therefore will happily send their players elsewhere for more success whereas we take youngsters from Manchester United to develop their game because our ex-player/Manager is there. Secondly, 9/10 of our team aren't Manchester United players unlike Watford/Udinese. Finally, I'm pretty sure Watford have just signed more players from Udinese in the last 2 Seasons than we EVER have from Manchester United. I hope they don't win the League or have any success at all. It only then encourages the use of Multi-Club Ownership, which I totally disagree with. I hope they crash and burn, not because I don't like the Club, just because I'd like to see an end to Multi-Club Ownership. Imagine all the rich owners who'd see Watford earn promotion and think, "Hmm, I could do that". Football would very quickly go down hill.
My only reasoning for them to win is because I like none of the other clubs in contention (them included), by the way. Maybe Forest is the one I least dislike...
Hooper wasn't in the wage structure and wanted half a million just to put pen to paper. Would do no good to the team spirit at our club. I would have liked him as I think he can do a job in the Prem, however we've moved on because we want to safeguard the long term future of the club if we come back down.
We shouldn't be dog in the manger about this. He may not have reached Premiership level, but at least he has still moved his career onwards and upwards. League 2, SPL , Championship - he's still on an upward slope.
Why I find it funny is because I don't rate him as a Manager. He buys his teams and think he'll find it hard in the Championship, hope this explains
People really do forget how the loveable 'Arry did when he last took a team down to the 2nd tier. At the end of the day, he's a ****ing shocking manager yet somehow the London-based media are obsessed with him.
The YP makes the Eastern Daily Press look bad, but the Lynn News (Tues/Fri) is about on a par with the HDM. (Sorry - that's down here in NW Norfolk).
I'm a bit surprised I'm the only one from here who's had the good grace to discuss this transfer with them.
Meh you win some you lose some. I don't want us to sign anybody who doesn't want to be here, or has their heart set on more money. Enjoy it at the Drama Queens, Hooper.
