Well, with even more respect, you are fully entitled to your thoughts, even as they portend to me,and mine.
I for one will never deny you your thought process.
It'a real shame that the Monk luvvies are constantly trying to stop, even amend, mine.

It's more than, that, for sure. I can think of at least half a dozen, but hey,it's great watching them writhe around on the end of my line. It's why I get up in the morning. <laugh>

My take as a football fan is that right now Monk is doing fantastically well. He has surprised me to be honest. I'm delighted to say that I seem to have been wrong about him and I hope he continues to prove me wrong every week.

But Lib has a point in that people are getting a bit carried away by all this. Just as Stoke fans turned on Pulis, Hammers fans turned on Allardice, and no doubt Chelsea fans will turn on Mourinho, the love-in will be quickly forgotten if things turn sour.

I guess we have to live in the moment and praise Monk as much as we can because he's done a great job so far and nobody can deny that.

We'll probably never be a Champions League side, we can't compete financially. So we've nearly reached our ceiling, league-wise... which begs the question - if we can't get carried away now, then when?

That's fair, Daimun. I think it depends what type of person you are really. I'm happy to to be happy right now but the old cynic in me (it's the Lib factor!) sees these same fans baying for blood if it goes tits up. Probably best not to think about that.

He's just taken us to our highest/best points total, done the double over Arsenal and done the treble over Utd, not to mention humiliating Cardiff in his first game in charge. Of course we love him.

Well, actually, he has some way to go before he can eclipse Toshack's 69 points and sixth place in the old First Division.

The P.L. is merely the First Division with a very pretentious title, since quality wise there is little of premier quality in the product being offered.

There's nothing wrong with loving him. The mass hysteria, however,is somewhat over the top.

Actually, people of your persuasion on this forum/board,don't actually want "debate".

It's all about getting others to agree with your views, etc.

You have no truck with an opposing viewpoint, hence the constant bickering that you,and your ilk, are renowned for. <ok><peacedove><rose><smooch>

So you say, but the truth is far different, from what you spout, full of your own self importance which comes through in most of what you post.

It is just the journalist and I assume he is a journalists view . Why again Lib, do you want to '' Piss on Peoples Parades '' as you put it ? You seem single minded on pouring scorn on the achievements of the current Manager and Team . Honestly pal I am at a total loss as to what your motivation is ?

Lib, I can assure you that both Valley and I agree that you can hold your own views and on any subject. However what we will not allow you to do is run roughshod over other posters views and be offensive whilst doing so. As I have said we have been down this road before , lets just take a minute before posting eh ?

Not as juvenile as Laudrops management, to which he got rightly sacked for, and those that sacked him have been vindicated ever since.

Monk don't have anything to prove that he has what it takes to be a good manager.....There are not many young managers that can out fox the so called more experienced managers on a regular basis, so we have seen what he can do and it's been very impressive....

I don't think people are getting carried away with anything kiff. What people are doing is simply celebrating our current situation and rightly, Monk is getting a lot of credit for it. Garry Monk being touted as the best in the prem and or future England manager is something worth celebrating I think.

It is amazing right now that pundits and peers alike are celebrating Monk and celebrating Swansea City. I have to pinch myself often to make sure its true and it is, I never do wake up back in the lower leagues with an upcoming game against Crewe on Tuesday night.

Nope, I stay here in a time which IS the best time ever to be a Jack. It is an irrefutable fact that we are doing well right now and it is only right and proper that Jacks are coming together and joining in with the celebration.

The point of view that 'those people will change look at Pullis Allerdyce" is spot on, completely utterly and totally correct, of course we will if things go wrong. Its human nature to cheer when you win and boo when you lose. I don't remember about 12 years ago anyone on 606, well maybe one, who was reveling in our p1ss poor, losing style and that John Hollins was the best manager we've ever had.

To put things another way, I wouldn't turn up at my Niece's wedding, sneer at the revelers, tell her its all down hill from here on in and that her arse does look big in that dress. No, I'd kiss her on the cheek, tell her how beautiful she is and join in with the celebration.

Imo, no one is getting carried away except the unmentionable one, all I see people doing is simply celebrating our time which IS the best time ever to be a Jack and a time worth celebrating.

Stimulus defines response and responses will change depending on stimuli provided by our beautifully dangerous ever changing world in which we live. When stimuli are positive so will be the response, when the Swans win we Jacks will cheer, when we lose we Jacks will boo, what the hell is wrong with that?
