And you were wrong as well.:emoticon-0110-tongu

I find it very hard to believe that any Swans fan would want our team relegated just to say they were right. Sorry that's bollocks.

Great result today but we were pretty awful really and the result flattered us but we just about deserved the win. Villa were ****. Anyhow, Monk will have his chance by the looks of it whether we like it or not. I'm sure all decent Swans fans will support the guy up to the hilt.

What you "believe " and what you know are not quite the same is it. Please provide the proof that anyone has posted that they're Monk haters either by title or by what they've posted .Otherwise it's all in your head and by that I can only assume that you stirring the ****e by trying to divide this board further .Healthy debate means that there's opposing views and just because you don't agree with them doesn't make them any less relevant than your own .

Just have a look in the "Well Done Garry" or "Garry Monk - Yes or No" threads.

    Plenty of evidence in there.

What crap. I can only think of a couple of posters here who wouldn't be prepared to give Monk credit when it's due. Stop being so divisive. It's a ****ing forum and you will get differences of opinion.

It's due now and I don't see many giving it.

Here's another to add to the excuses when Monk wins.
"the Swans have good enough players to win without a manager "

And how come someone defending Monk and the board is being divisive?

Should we just bend over and allow others to say whatever they like?

Well if I'm honest I am a tad underwhelmed by Monk's imminent appointment, but I will back him until he doesn't deserve it, and I can understand our board appointing him, given that he has successfully rescued our Premier league status, thank you Garry!.......<cheers>

PS: Norwich are 4-0 down to Manu, new it would be a thumping for them, I think they are down now, especially if Sunderland can get a win tomorrow!....<ok>

Agree with your post dragonphil. <ok>

Jackuzi " And how come someone defending Monk and the board is being divisive?"

It's not. But saying there are posters who would like to see us relegated just to prove a point IS divisive and complete bollocks. This may be yur opinion but there is no evidence to back it up. Way off the mark.

Not a question of 'bending over' unless that's your thing. It's a forum. People will disagree from time to time. Doesn't mean we don't want the best for our team. <ok>

I don't know what happened with ML but didn't like the way we dealt with him in the end. Of course we have to move on, I hope we have done enough to stay up now but I don't think Monk should stay on.

    1) Don't think he has or will heal any division in club and we can't afford to lose all the Spanish players. It appears Canas and Poz have been side lined and I think these have potential
    2) Lots of questions about his team selections and subs during games - some have been dire.
    3) Out done tactically a number of times. No sign of showing ability to vary tactics as required.
    4) If we lose players and have to re-build in Summer, will need someone with experience
    5) Needs to do coaching badgers and progress up management ladder.
    6) I am not comfortable with promoting him if it is true that he has stirred trouble for other mangers.

I think if he'd coached badgers they might have beaten Palace and West Bom. <laugh>

    Sorry neath.

lol at the whole "Monk haters" comments. Makes me laugh it really does.

You blindly stick up for a man, who has done no different to his predecessor (even with today's result, which was a great win btw) he has done nothing for me to change my mind, we are no better off than we were when under ML. That does not make me a Monk hater, as I back him 100%, but I just can't stand all the ****ing sucking up people give him. The problem is, some of you guys are too naive to realise it. You only have to look how some of you have recently come out of the wqoodwork after today's result in a way to try and justify your stand point. Come back when we lose. Which I doubt you will. Yet guess what, even after a win, I am still here saying the same ****, why, because I believe what I am saying to a point where I stand by it no matter what.

As for a board hater, im deffo not in a hating mood, but I very much dislike how they have gone about things. Especially when they have made huge **** ups themselves without consequence. Not to mention that they sacked the last manager when he was having similar results (if not better under the circumstances) than our current, yet it looks like they are giving him a contract. Smacks of a bit of hypocrisy.

But if calling those who don't share your viewpoint "haters" helps you sleep easy at night, then go for it. Just proves to us that you need to use such a pathetic label to justify yourselves.

For those who keep saying that Monk is better, then see what proof you can come up with, now I don't mean base level proof such as a first back to back wins, I mean hard proof, such as finding as many instances where ML failed to provide those back to back wins. Or if you want to go on about the 15 points from 12 games, look at the games and give a fair comparison. But I won't hold my breath, because we both know, you will not, as there is no way you can fully justify your points with actual facts that are worth comparing. You go down the simplistic route which on the face of things, means absolutely **** all.

And in reference to the above, I mean such as that Monks back to back victories were against 2 teams between them have picked up just 4 points in 12 games. See what the best ML had for a chance of a back to back victory? But as pointed above, I won't hold my breath, because so far all I have seen from those on the other side, are the simplistic points, because they have the inability to dig deeper to prove a point.

I am not trying to discredit monk, im trying to fathom why the likes of you are kissing monks arse, when he hasn't actually done anything better yet. Yet in the same breath, you were slagging ML off. Its hypocrisy at its very best.

I agree swanselona. A few sitters on the fence have come out today and said things they weren't prepared to before kick off.

The Laudrup v Monk thing you would hope has run its course. Like you I don't think Monk is the right man for the job but will be delighted to be proved wrong assuming he gets it but I'm still not convinced. That doesn't make me a 'hater' or someone who won't get behind him.

We actually made Villa look very good at times today and they're far from that. But it's points that count and we got them today to make us safe. Can't understand the love-in because one wonders if they'd been so keen if the guy had played for us for say a year or two instead of ten. Some slack is often cut for the "Swans Legends" it seems and if he's made permanent I'll be cutting him slack too - up to a point.

When Rodgers was appointed many fans I spoke to weren't happy at all and still think he's crap so what do they know? <laugh>

    All about opinions innit?

We got 6 points are last "2 games" not because we played well , its just that our bad luck ran out. Law of average . Im a bit concerned that our healthy , good team isnt really playing as well as it should .
