A very good performance by England. They are in the semi-finals on merit, as will be whoever they play. Sweden may have looked a limited side, but they beat Mexico 3-0, so you have to give England credit for making them look poor. Southgate has the knack of picking a balanced side, which is beyond a lot of managers. It will take a good team to beat them.

Up to today I think the media have been over hyping England's performances in Russia. Today they proved Lardi and me wrong with a professional performance. Long may this continue …… however.... to call Lardi unpatriotic is out of order and not what I would expect from a fellow Charlton supporter..
What a load of old tosh, AllHell. I never aimed my original post at anyone in particular; in fact, it was aimed at all the morose sods who refuse to get behind our national team. It was Lardi who decided to throw a strop. If he's a little precious, too bad.

It’s good that people are publicly supporting lardi - who is a good guy It’s a shame that they didn’t also publicly support other members of this site in recent days, over other matters.
For clarity here. I am English and proud of that fact. Through having lived in Sweden and three of my best mates are Swedes, I make no apologies for being supportive of the boys in Yellow.
